Our Gala in the Garden events are back this September! We hope you’ll join us for our 2023 Gala in the Garden and Garden Luncheon featuring some very special guests, James Farmer and The Castellows!

You are invited to join us for Gala in the Garden on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 6:00-9:00pm, located at the beautiful Columbus Botanical Garden. Gala in the Garden will feature delicious southern cuisine catered by local restaurant, 11th and Bay, served alongside craft cocktails and hand selected wines. Enjoy live music from the recently signed sister trio, The Castellows!

The Castellows:
Meet sisters Eleanor, Powell and Lily Balkcom of the band, The Castellows. Their stunning harmonies have captured the hearts of millions of country music fans. The trio hails from a small town on the border of Alabama known as Georgetown, GA. They’ve proudly embraced their family name “Castellow,” which stems from their great-grandmother’s maiden name. The Castellows were recently signed in Nashville and are up-and-coming stars. See them first at Gala in the Garden!

The Columbus Botanical Garden invites you to join best-selling author, interior designer, and gardener, James Farmer, for a presentation and a Southern-living inspired meal by Kimble’s with mimosas and coffee at our Gala in the Garden Luncheon. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet James Farmer during a book signing following his educational and memorable presentation. This event will be from 11am-1pm.

James Farmer:

James Farmer is a Southern author, interior designer, and speaker known for his ability to create beautifully familiar and welcoming homes. To James, a home engages all of the senses – the pleasantries of colors and materials, the feel of the doorknob warmed by the sun, the smell of fresh laundry, the sound of the closing door, and the taste of supper on the table. Through his design firm, James works with clients to truly create a home.

James is the author of the Wall Street Journal best-selling books A Time to Plant; Sip & Savor; Porch Living; Wreaths For All Seasons; A Time To Cook; Dinner on the Grounds; A Time to Celebrate, A Place to Call Home and Arriving Home. His most recent publication, Celebrating Home, showcases the details and beauty of celebrating life’s special moments. In addition, his work has been published in various magazines including Southern Living, House Beautiful, Traditional Home, Southern Home, FLOWER and more.

Patron Sponsorship Packages are on sale now!

The Patron Party will be held on Thursday, September 14th, from 5:00-6:00pm before the Gala. This party is for select Patron & Corporate Sponsors and will be held on the Event Lawn next to the Pollinator Garden. (See Patron packages on the Gala website for more info.)

As a garden for all, your support of our 2023 Gala in the Garden events allows us to serve not only those who visit our grounds, but also those beyond our garden gates.
